    I added the snippet on my wp-config.php however it doesn’t seem to work. I use the BuddyBoss theme, so I’m wondering if the theme’s lesson template is the reason this doesn’t work. Any ideas?

    Hey Stefania!

    I don’t think this is related to BuddyBoss. I believe a recent update to LearnDash caused the snippet to no longer work. I tested with the following themes: Astra, GeneratePress, using WordPress 5.9 and LearnDash 3.6.0.3, and it didn’t work on either theme.

    A representative from LearnDash confirmed that it worked for him on the TwentyTwentyOne and TwentyTwentyTwo themes.

    However, he also stated that it is not officially supported by LearnDash, and they cannot provide any support for it if it doesn’t work. He also said not to use it on a live site. They need to do further testing before releasing it to the public and supporting it.

    Quote from LearnDash representative:

    “While this function does exist in the core plugin, it isn’t something that we officially support just yet.
    There is still additional functionality that we need to add to it as well as perform further testing. We would advise to not run this on a live site, any issues that may arise from it, we wouldn’t really be able to support.”

    For those not familiar, here is the snippet Stefania is referring to:

    define( 'LEARNDASH_SHOW_MARK_INCOMPLETE', true );

    If we hear any updates on this, we’ll be sure to post them here.

    Hi Dave,

    Thank you for clarifying this. I’ll remove the code for now. Let’s hope this will get addressed by LearnDash at some point.

    Great news! As of LearnDash 4.1, LearnDash now has a simple toggle to enable a “Mark Incomplete” button on the frontend.

    Watch this video to see how it works.

    Awesome news Dave!

    Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention. I have version 3.6 and I was waiting for all the dust to settle after the 4.0 major update that caused issues to many websites, including my own staging site. I had requested that button a while ago when Chris sent the survey to everyone. It’s nice to see my feedback was heard and is already implemented. Good days! Happy Easter, by the way!
